Feminist Eid ul Fitr 2024

Camden Disability Action, 37 Greenwood Place, London, NW5 1LB

Time: 10am to 12pm

Tickets: Please register via Eventbrite. The FAQs, agenda and venue information is also on the Eventbrite page.

To mark the end of Ramadan we invite you to join us for an Eid salah and a community gathering. We are bringing the Inclusive Mosque community together to renew our intentions for the rest of the year, to say goodbye to Ramadan and take forward the lessons we have learnt.

For anyone new to Inclusive Mosque, most of our imams are women, genderqueer or nonbinary Muslims. Please show them your full support.

We will not ask anyone to segregate themselves so please be aware that you will see Muslims of different genders praying side by side. If you are attending online, please see our ground rules and advice on etiquette at our online prayers before attending. You can join and leave an event whenever you need to. Don’t worry about being late or leaving early.

Covid Safety & Access
Auto-captioning will be available for online attendees. An induction loop will be available at the venue. You can join and leave the event whenever you need to – don’t worry about being late or leaving early. If you’re joining online, you don’t have to turn your video on. No one is permitted to record or take pictures during the event.

Please bring your own prayer mats. We expect all attendees to take a Covid test on the day of the event and if it is positive, please do not attend. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend. All attendees are expected to wear face masks on arrival and throughout the prayer unless they have a reason not to. We do this as an act of necessary community care in solidarity with disabled and chronically ill members of the community.

The Greenwood Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, including accessible toilets on every floor of the building. The closest step-free train stations are Gospel Oak (approx 11mins away – manual boarding ramps need to be arranged at this station) and King’s Cross. Buses 88, 134, and 214 stop close by the venue. There are three designated blue badge parking spaces outside of The Greenwood Centre.

This is an indoor event. Hand sanitiser and handwashing facilities will be available and the space will be cleaned thoroughly before the event. Windows will stay open for ventilation so please dress warmly.

We expect all attendees and team members to wear a mask but people who find masks to be too big a barrier to communication, or find it negatively impacts their health, don’t have to wear one.

We ask all attendees to take a lateral flow test on the day of this event. We won’t ask you to share the results with us but we do request that you don’t attend this event if you test positive or have any cold- or flu-like symptoms. Thank you for helping us support the most marginalised people at IMI to access our events.

If you need a free ticket, use promo code free1532 when checking out and remember to click ‘apply’ when you enter the promo code.
