Ramadan 1439

Inclusive Mosque Initiative is pleased to announce that the 1st fast of Ramadan 1439 will be on Thursday 17th May 2018, in consensus (ijma) with the major Islamic centres and mosques in London.

IMI will be holding iftars (breaking of fast) and taraweh prayers (voluntary night Ramadan prayers) on 25th May and 8th June. More information and details are on our social media and website.

Dua (supplication) for Suhoor- starting of fast

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

Transliteration: Wa bi-sawmi ghadin nawaytu min shahri ramadan

Translation: I intend to keep the fast for today in the month of Ramadan

Dua (supplication) for Iftar – breaking of fast

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ

Transliteration:
Allahumma Inni laka sumtu wa bika amantu [wa alayka tawakkalto] wa ‘ala rizqika aftartu

Translation:
O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.
