Raise Your Gaze-Our Prayer is Protest

Our Prayer is Protest is a Healing Arts festival organised by the Inclusive Mosque Initiative, Healing Justice LDN, and Voices that Shake! and curated by Farzana Khan.

The day will feature speakers discussing community building, gentrification, racism, health, wellness and repair, as well as holistic workshops on zine-making, breath work, yoga, dance, herbal walks, and creative writing. We will be using different art forms and non-eurocentric methods to deepen our understanding and approaches to mental well-being, collective healing, and undoing violence/harm for ourselves and our communities.

ACCESS
– If you’re not able to pay the ticket price, please get in touch for a free ticket
– Carers or anyone needed to support you are welcome and can receive a free ticket
– BSL interpreters will be available on the day
– There will be an induction loop on the day
– The venue is wheelchair accessible with a wheelchair accessible bathroom
– There is one gender-neutral bathroom
– Lunch and refreshments will be vegan & gluten-free
– Children and babies are welcome. Please get in touch if you have childcare needs
– The talk will be recorded and transcribed
– The closest tube station is Whitechapel, and the closest accessible tube station is Liverpool Street. Buses are 25, 254, 106, D3
