Muslim Empowerment Series: Grief, Memory and Collective Healing

Final instalment of the Muslim Empowerment Series

We are pleased to share the final workshop in our Muslim Empowerment Series, a creative and reflective session exploring grief, memory, identity, resilience and collective healing.

This workshop will offer a gentle and inclusive space for participants to reflect on what we carry, what we remember, and how we make meaning after loss. Through storytelling, textile-based activities and shared reflection, participants will be invited to explore themes of belonging, migration, cultural memory and healing.

The session will be facilitated by Zahra Amber, a Kashmiri creative practitioner, cultural worker, educator and sustainable fashion designer. Zahra’s multidisciplinary practice is rooted in heritage, craft, identity and resilience. Her work has included collaborations with artisans, indigenous communities and creative institutions across the UK and internationally, using craft and storytelling as tools for reflection, dialogue and community connection.

This workshop is particularly intended to support Muslim communities, including people with lived experience of displacement, migration, marginalisation, bereavement or collective grief.
