Are you a Muslim in an interfaith relationship? Do you have questions about interfaith nikkah ceremonies and the process of getting married in an Islamic tradition? Are you hoping to create an interfaith ceremony that honours multiple traditions and backgrounds without one spouse converting to Islam?

At this online discussion we’ll guide you through the requirements of an Islamic marriage and go through some of the most frequently asked questions that interfaith couples have asked us over the years. You’ll also be able to ask any questions you have and you can submit them in writing when you register for this event so you don’t have to ask them in a group setting if that might be uncomfortable.

This discussion is intended to be especially useful to straight Muslim women in relationships with straight non-Muslim men and LGBTQ+ Muslim and interfaith couples. We’ll focus on the practical considerations of marriage ceremonies so this event will not be useful to single people.

Please note: We require everyone who attends keeps their camera on throughout the event so that we can ensure safety for attendees and staff. We strongly encourage you to attend with your partner because the responsibility of creating a marriage ceremony should be a shared one, not delegated solely to one partner.

You must be at least 21 years or older to attend this event.
This is NOT a matrimonial event.
