Inclusive Jummah – Friday 31st January

New Unity, 277A Upper Street, London, N1 2TZ

The last of the January jummah’s is here already. These congregational Friday prayers is our time to ground ourselves and reconnect with Allah swt and our communities. Our inclusive Friday prayers are primarily created for Muslims of colour and their families. Our prayers are not segregated so that friends and families can pray together. No matter what your family looks like, we welcome you. Please be aware that you will see Muslims of different genders praying side by side and that women and non-binary people often lead mixed-gender congregations in prayer at the Inclusive Mosque Initiative. If you are not Muslim, we ask that you be respectful of the space we create and if you are white, please honour and respect the experiences and expressions of people of colour.

Prayers will be followed by vegan and vegetarian refreshments, tea and coffee. As with all IMI events, Muslims of all denominations are welcome to pray with us, and peoples of all faiths and none. Children, toddlers and babies are also welcome. You can stand or sit wherever you feel comfortable. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
