You’re warmly invited to our Eid ul Fitr salah (prayers) on Saturday 22nd April 2023. This is a hybrid event, taking place in person and online via Zoom. Please wear a face mask to keep yourself and others safe from the spread of Covid.

As with all IMI events, expect to see women and nonbinary people leading and people of genders, races, sexualities, and sects praying together. You are invited to join us on your own or with friends and family.

If you’re attending online, please register via Eventbrite so we can send you the Zoom link on the day. If you’re attending in person, you can register via Eventbrite too but you don’t have to – feel free to just turn up on the day.

Access

Auto-captioning will be available for online attendees. An induction loop will be available at the venue. You can join and leave the event whenever you need to – don’t worry about being late or leaving early. If you’re joining online, you don’t have to turn your video on. No one is permitted to record or take pictures during the event.

The Greenwood Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, including accessible toilets on every floor of the building. The closest step-free train stations are Gospel Oak (approx 11mins away – manual boarding ramps need to be arranged at this station) and King’s Cross. Buses 88, 134, and 214 stop close by the venue. There are three designated blue badge parking spaces outside of The Greenwood Centre.

This is an indoor event. Hand sanitiser and handwashing facilities will be available and the space will be cleaned thoroughly before the event. Windows will stay open for ventilation so please dress warmly.

We encourage attendees and team members to wear a mask but people who find masks to be too big a barrier to communication, or find it negatively impacts their health, don’t have to wear one.

We ask all attendees to take a lateral flow test on the day of this event. We won’t ask you to share the results with us but we do request that you don’t attend this event if you test positive or have any cold- or flu-like symptoms. Thank you for helping us support the most marginalised people at IMI to access our events.

Please let us know if you have any access needs we should be aware of or if there’s anything we can do to improve your experience at this event. You can email us at admin@inclusivemosque.org or leave a voice message on +44 203 189 1185.

Online safety

You’ll be taken through a few short questions during checkout, which helps us to keep our imams and organisers safe. This process helps us to protect each other and our community online.

You will be sent a link on the day of the event. Please do not share the link, that’s just for you. When you attend the event, make sure your Zoom display name is the same as the name you signed up with. Here’s how you can change your Zoom display name.

Emails from Eventbrite sometimes go straight to spam and junk folders so please check those as well as your inbox.
