It is to be paid from oneself and any dependents who are unable to pay in the form of what is considered a staple food of the community. The monetary value based on the price of a staple food such as flour or rice, it is approximately £5.

Eid Takbeer

Eid Takbeer (a call to remember and cry out the name Allah) is a Sunnah of the prophet (pbuh). It is recited in a low voice while going to Eid prayers and ceases when you reach the prayer location. The format of Eid Takbeer is broad in scope, because the command is to say Takbeer in general, and the Messenger (pbuh) did not single out any particular format of Takbeeraat. Allah, may SHe be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbeer (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) for having guided you” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:185].

Example Eid-ul-fitr Takbeer

الله أكبر، الله أكبر، الله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله . والله أكبر ، الله أكبر ، ولله الحمد

Transliteration:

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar La-ilaha Illallah Wallahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Wa-lil-lahil hamd

Translation:

Allah is Great, Allah is Great, Allah is Great, There is no Deity but Allah Allah is Great, Allah is Great, and praise is due to Her.
